oblogout is a ’logout’ system designed to work with Openbox and Crunchbang Linux.

My first true Python project, it was created to fill a gap in Crunchbang Linux by providing a graphical logout/shutdown prompt that was expected in GNOME and KDE. It used PyGTK and Cario to create some pleasing graphics, and later versions were able to interact with Dbus and HAL to manage the shutdown of a system outside of just running ‘shutdown’.
